About Sean

Sean MacHale is the partner who leads our Sustainable Finance and CCaSS practice.
Sean is a recognised leader across Sustainable finance where he has led multiple global financial institution engagements from end to end ESG strategy, risk management and reporting through to commercialising sustainable finance through innovative new products and solutions.

Sean’s professional background is in investment banking, where he held executive positions across Treasury and Institutional banking including Sustainability strategy and Group Climate lead for both global and European financial Institutions.

In that role he worked closely with risk, reporting and the business units to deliver strategy, product development and channel delivery to facilitate the flow of sustainable capital to transition customers to the low carbon economy. Sean has delivered transformational business change programmes for clients within financial services.

Sean is an Adjunct Professor at Trinity College Dublin where he lectures in Sustainable Finance.
Sean is passionate about assisting financial institutions drive a positive impact on the economy, environment and wider society.
