FS Tech Consulting – Technology Consultant – Consultant / Senior Consultant – Dublin

Key Responsibilities

  • Technology Transformation
  • Collaborate with a diverse group of Technology Consultants on transformation projects across various domains, including Payments, Banking & Credit, Digital & Channels, and Finance & Technology Enabled Delivery.

Client Interaction & Delivery

  • Problem solve based on interactions with business leaders to understand their technology challenges and objectives.
  • Help tailor solutions that meet client goals and provide measurable benefits.
  • Engage with FS clients to understand their business needs, define requirements, and analyse complex processes to implement effective solutions.
  • Develop and prioritise change requirements (epics and user stories) and document them.
  • Create supporting design documentation such as process maps, decision papers, customer journey artefacts, and business cases.
  • Act as an intermediary between business and technology stakeholders to align project outcomes with technology/business strategy.
  • Contribute to the delivery of technology assessments, strategy development, and project execution.
  • Uphold high delivery standards, following industry best practices.
  • Work with Product Owners and scrum team members to drive requirements (user stories) through the full delivery lifecycle (design, build, test, and deploy).
  • Prepare, review, and analyse testing/test phase outputs such as test scenarios and defect triage.

Business Development Support

  • Help identify potential opportunities and contribute to proposals for tech strategy services.
  • Assist in building and nurturing client relationships to ensure satisfaction.

Learning and Growth

  • Gain knowledge from tech delivery experts and contribute to internal knowledge bases.
  • Lead the creation of thought leadership materials under guidance.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends to drive innovation in the company.
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Cross-Practice Collaboration

  • Join forces with other practice areas to support comprehensive client solutions.


Skills and Attributes Required to Apply for this role:

  • 8+ years of strong experience in technical project management, with a focus on payment and/or cards systems
  • Strong experience in stakeholder management
  • Have knowledge and proven experience of working with IT Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (SDLC) including Waterfall & Agile
  • Have ability to build and manage relationships across business and technology stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of payment processing systems, payments architecture and industry regulations
  • Good understanding of European payments schemes e.g. SEPA.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in delivering business value from technology as well as communicating the value to senior business stakeholders.
  • Experience working in banks across multiple product domains.  (e.g., Retail, Corporate, SME, Treasury)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Experience with various project management tools and methodologies.
  • Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail.
  • Have a strong academic record including a third level degree, preferably in IT or relevant field.
