Ireland’s next financial services strategy is currently being developed by the Department of Finance following a public consultation on the future of the sector. In this submission, EY outlines our recommendations for the Ireland for Finance Strategy 2026-2030 and the actions we believe are needed to strengthen Ireland’s position as a leading global financial services centre.

Building on our “Building a Better Financial Services Ireland: Accelerate to Elevate” report, we propose three priorities for the next phase of growth: mobilising capital to support national priorities, reinforcing Ireland’s competitiveness as an international financial centre, and accelerating innovation across financial services.

As policymakers shape the next five-year strategy, we believe Ireland has a unique opportunity to think bolder and act now to secure long-term growth, investment and leadership in global finance.
